We are a group of veterinarians that have been meeting monthly since 1991. Our purpose: Education and training for avian and exotic animal veterinarians, interested veterinary practitioners, veterinary nurses and veterinary students. Services of the association: education, networking, continuing education.

Membership is $20.00 calendar year. We send out email newsletters monthly with the previous month's lecture notes as available. Please contact us at CathyJD@anwaevet.org or come to a meeting.

- We strongly encourage our members to also be members of the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. In addition, members may also belong to the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians, American Association of Laboratory Animal Science, Association of Wildlife Veterinarians. Members attend one or more of the following conferences on a regular basis and share information from these conferences:AAV, ARAV, AAZV, AEMV, ABVP Symposium and others

The Association is open to veterinarians, veterinary techinicians and veterinary students interest in non-traditional companion animals. Our website is www.anwaevet.org. Dook Soup
There are commercial products on the market, but it is far simpler to make - especially for owners. Recipe: Grind up regular kibble and add water until is is thoroughly liquid enough to go through a syringe.
