Topic: Dr. Scott Ford, DABVP-Avian will be presenting an evening of raptor medicine including an in depth look at bumblefoot. Bring your questions about raptor and wild bird treatments! CE credit will be given for attendance.

The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners has been given the green light for the Exotic Companion Mammal specialization. The first examination is planned for November 2009. Dr. Johnson-Delaney would like to organize a study group. If anyone is interested in that, please contact her at 425-821-6165. The reading list in on this website, last page! We are a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Washington, since 1991. Our purpose: Education and training for avian and exotic animal veterinarians, interested veterinary practitioners, veterinary technicians and veterinary students. Services of the association: education, networking, continuing education. Attendance at our meetings qualifies for Continuing Education credit, State of Washington.

Membership is $20.00 calendar year. We send out newsletters monthly with the previous month's lecture notes. If you are a veterinarian, veterinary technician or veterinary student, please contact us via questions@anwaevet.org or come to a meeting.
